Welcome to the Resident Family Relations website for Student Housing Services. On this website we offer a variety of articles, information, fun ideas for families, and a calendar of events to keep families updated on what’s happening in Student Housing. Sending students off to college can be a difficult transition for families and the students themselves. We hope to make the transition a little bit easier and give families a sense of well-being about their students living away from home. We hope that you will explore our website, make use of the resources, articles, and ideas we offer. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns.

Mission: Provide families with means to stay connected and informed about student life in Student Housing at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. Be available to answer questions, offer helpful tips, provide useful information about the University, and serve as an overall support system for families who have students living in our residence halls and apartments.

Upcoming website changes...

Over the next few months, the Resident Family Relations web pages will be integrated into the Student Housing Services website. The Family Relations program for UH Mānoa was expanded over the past year and is now a campus-wide program, servicing the parents and family members of all UH Mānoa students. As originally created, the Resident Family Relations program will continue to serve as our Student Housing component of the campus-wide Parent & Family Relations program.

In addition to a new look for our website, our listserv for Resident-Family-Relations will be integrated with our main list for the Parent & Family Relations program. We have decide to combine these list in an effort to streamline our communications with you; several parents and family members are subscribed to both lists and receive duplicate emails when we send messages. You will not need to complete a new registration for the listserv, we will update the list membership for you.
